HATTIESBURG-PETAL-FORREST-LAMAR METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION MISSISSIPPI’S LONG-RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN (MULTIPLAN)

The Hattiesburg-Petal-Forrest-Lamar Metropolitan Planning Organization (HPFL/MPO) and the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) invite citizens to participate in the development of the state’s long-range transportation plan.

Come-and-go style public meetings are scheduled as follows:

Mississippi’s Unified Long-Range Transportation Plan (MULTIPLAN) is comprehensive in nature. It guides statewide planning efforts by helping answer the questions “What do we want from our transportation system over the next 25 years, and how can we achieve it?”

The HPFL/MPO is responsible for transportation planning in the urbanized areas of Forrest and Lamar counties. The HPFL/MPO coordinates the transportation planning processes and programs that become a part of MULTIPLAN.

FEB. 6 – NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY, PUBLIC HEARING & PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD REGARDING

2018 CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT FOR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

The City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is preparing its 2018 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The report provides details on the activities proposed and completed during the 2018 program year using Community. Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) entitlement funds.

The draft report will be available for review beginning March 8, 2019, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until 5 p.m. on March 25, 2019, in City Hall at the Department of Urban Development’s Community Development Division.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Hattiesburg Department of Urban Development has scheduled a public hearing for Friday, March 22, 2019, at 5:15 p.m. in the CE Roy Community Center, 300 E 5th Street, for the purpose of affording citizens of Hattiesburg an opportunity to comment on CAPER.

Comments related to the performance report may be mailed to the attention of Clarence P. Williams at the Department of Urban Development, City of Hattiesburg, PO BOX 1898, Hattiesburg, MS 39403-1898, or delivered to City Hall, First Floor, Department of Urban Development, 200 Forrest Street. Comments will be considered through March 25, 2019.

To adopt the Twin Fork Rising Master Plan, Phase III

Notice is hereby given that the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Hattiesburg-Petal- Forrest-Lamar County Metropolitan Planning Organization (HPFL-MPO) is being amended and will be available for public review and comment. The TIP amendment defines Federal aid projects for the HPFL- MPO.
