The City of Hattiesburg Public Works Department will begin distributing 65-gallon roll-away bins to current recycling participants. The Department hopes the new bins will encourage residents to recycle more and dispose less garbage. Designed for convenience with wheels and a lid, the bins allow for worry-free outdoor storage of recyclables. Participants will receive one bin over the next several weeks. A distribution schedule is listed below. Residents with questions or concerns are encourage to call the Public Works Department at 601-544-5406 or 601-545-4547. All bins are the property of the City of Hattiesburg and are not to be removed from the property. Residents who wish to discontinue participation in the recycling program are asked to contact the Public Works Department.
