Mardi Gras Season Returns to Hattiesburg with Parades, Parties and Community Celebrations

Hattiesburg, Mississippi — The 2026 Mardi Gras season in Hattiesburg was officially announced today, January 15, during a press conference with Mayor Toby Barker, highlighting a full calendar of events that celebrate the city’s culture, creativity and community spirit.

Mardi Gras in Hattiesburg is more than just a celebration; it’s a reflection of the community’s unity and cultural richness. Each year, residents and visitors come together to honor long-standing traditions while welcoming new ones. 

“Mardi Gras in Hattiesburg continues to grow every year, and it’s become a great example of how our community comes together to celebrate, support local businesses and showcase what makes our city special,” Mayor Toby Barker said.

Krewe of St. Catherine 4th Annual Roll and Stroll Parade and Block Party
Friday, February 6, 6:30 p.m.

The Krewe of St. Catherine Walking Parade returns for its fourth year with the theme “Off the Rails – Trains! Trains! Trains!” Participants are encouraged to gather their friends, create a fun and creative concept, dress up and load up on throws for this festive walking parade and block party.

Mardi Gras Mambo Pub Crawl
Saturday, February 7, 12 p.m.

The third annual Mardi Gras Mambo Pub Crawl and Block Party invites participants to visit some of downtown’s favorite stops as they roll out beads, themed drinks and special food offerings. This is a ticketed event.

15th Annual Hattiesburg Caerus Mardi Gras Parade
Saturday, February 7, 10 a.m.

Presented by Keith’s Superstore and Mississippi Made & More, the 15th Annual Caerus Mardi Gras Parade will roll through Midtown along Hardy Street in front of The University of Southern Mississippi, continuing to North 39th Avenue.

Mardi Gras Scholarship Ball
Friday, February 13, 7 p.m.

The third annual Mardi Gras Scholarship Ball will feature live music from Southern Komfort Brass Band, DJ PrettyPeech and DJ Kuhjo. Doors open at 7 p.m. Proceeds support scholarship efforts through The Good Vibe Foundation. This is a ticketed event.
