In order to host a parade, block party or special event that occurs on city property or requires the support of our traffic division or barricades, you must apply for a permit. See the requirements below before downloading and submitting an application:

  • All permits must be filed at least 30 days prior to the date of the event.
  • A permit application must be accompanied with proof of liability insurance.
  • If the event is a parade or road race, the form will require a mapped route (which is subject to approval/modifications for the safety of traffic concerns).
  • A $25.00 non-refundable processing fee is required with all applications. This fee is required regardless of approval status. The permit fee may be paid in cash or by check at 300 Klondyke Street, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Checks can be made payable to the Hattiesburg Police Department.
