SUMMARY:Patricia Malone Memorial Concert and Remembrances
DESCRIPTION:School of Music Professor Emeritus\, Patricia Ann Sharpe Malone\, passed away on January 13\, 2023 following a sudden illness. She spent the majority of her teaching career at Southern Miss. She served as principal oboe in the Mobile (AL) Symphony\, a position she held for over 30 years\, and was also the principal oboe in the Meridian (MS) Symphony\, an ensemble in which she had performed for nearly 40 years. In addition\, she performed in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Symphony\, the Pensacola (FL) Symphony\, the Mississippi Symphony\, Festival South Orchestra\, the International Ballet Competition Orchestra\, as well as in numerous churches and for community events.  \n
