DESCRIPTION:Join us for this fun workshop where we will introduce you to the world of mixed media and encaustics. You will begin on a wooden substrate and continue with layers of chalk paint\, paper\, oil pastels\, charcoal and more. To add depth and character\, you’ll incorporate rustic elements such as nails\, vines\, and dried foliage. Once your creation is done\, you will learn the magical qualities of encaustics by sealing your piece with this wonderful medium\, and adding a beautiful vintage glow. You will leave with a beautiful and unique handcrafted image of Mary to cherish and take home. All materials will be provided and you are welcome to bring any small pieces you would like to incorporate in your piece.\nLimited to 10 participants. Must be 18 years or older. $40 per person. \n
