DESCRIPTION:The City of Hattiesburg\, Mississippi anticipates receipt of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in January 2020 or soon thereafter.  The funds will be used to meet the primary objectives of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1974\, as amended\, by providing access to affordable\, decent\, safe and sanitary housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities for persons\, of low and moderate-income. \nA Public Hearing is scheduled for December 9\, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of City Hall at 200 Forrest Street for the purpose of receiving comments on the creation of the 2020 Action Plan.
