DESCRIPTION:Recycling your Christmas tree is a gift that keeps on giving! After all of the gifts are unwrapped and the decorations come down\, make plans to recycle your tree! \nBetween Wednesday\, Dec. 26 and Thursday\, Feb. 28\, all residents can drop off live\, unflocked Christmas trees at the following locations:\n▪️ Duncan Lake on James Street\n▪️ Cameron Field at Kamper Park\n▪️ Fire Station #8 on Lamar Boulevard (near Petro Nissan)\n▪️ Highland Cemetery behind the office on W 7th Street \nAll trees collected will be chipped into mulch and placed at Highland Cemetery for pick-up by the public. Mulch will be available at no cost to citizens of Hattiesburg and will be available on a first come\, first served basis. \n

SUMMARY:Black History Month Kick-Off at the Museum
DESCRIPTION:The African American Military History Museum will kick-off Black History Month with a new exhibition. The event will feature guest speaker\, First Sergeant David Brooks\, Deputy Commandant of the 3rd Noncommissioned Officers Academy\, 154th RTI\, at Camp Shelby. Soldiers from the 296th Transportation Company in Brookhaven\, MS will convoy to the museum in special military vehicles used on and off the field. The vehicles will be on display in the museum’s parking lot. \nCommunity Bank serves as the sponsor for Black History Month at the African American Military History Museum.
