DESCRIPTION:New Student and Retention Programs is excited to announce our inaugural Spring Family Day event. We invite students and families to attend Spring Family Day on Saturday\, April 6 as we tailgate prior to the USM vs. Marshall University baseball game. With an exciting baseball season at Southern Miss\, a tailgate and baseball game seemed to be the perfect fit for a family day in Hattiesburg! \nThis is a great opportunity for families to visit\, reconnect and spend time with their student. The tailgate will take place from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on the Reed Green Coliseum Lawn (near the ticket booth) across from Pete Taylor Park. First pitch will be at 2 p.m. \nWith a valid student ID\, current Southern Miss students may attend the tailgate and baseball game complimentarily. \nReservations are required and will include admission to the tailgate event\, meal\, one baseball game general admission ticket and a gift. Tailgate tickets are $25 per guest and for baseball season ticket holders or those who have already purchased tickets to the game\, the cost is $15 per person. Children ages 0-2 will be admitted to the tailgate and the baseball game for free. \nStudents and families will enjoy a tailgate atmosphere of food\, games and music prior to attending the Saturday afternoon baseball game. All families that register for Spring Family Day will be entered into a drawing for the chance to be the one lucky registrant to throw the first pitch at the baseball game! \nSpring Family Day tickets can be purchased at usm.edu/nsrp. Registration closes on Friday\, March 29. \n
