DESCRIPTION:The University of Southern Mississippi’s Center for Human Rights and Civil Liberties is hosting a Human Rights Conference called Human Trafficking: Awareness and Action. It is a two-day event on April 5th (6:30 p.m. – 8: 30 p.m.) and 6th (9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) on USM’s Hattiesburg campus in the first floor of the Liberal Arts Building. Friday night will consist of a keynote speech by social worker and human rights activist Jeanette Westbrook and Saturday will consist of a variety of presentations from activists\, academics\, advocates and organizations. It will be an opportunity you don’t want to miss! It is free and open to the public. \n
