DESCRIPTION:Presented with support of the Mississippi Arts Commission\, the Impromptu Piano Trio performs Schubert’s Trio No. 1 in B-flat Major. Finished in 1828\, the last year of his life\, and published eight years after his death\, it is an unusually large work in four movements\, that shines with Schubert’s masterful lyricism. Also on the program is Turina’s mature Trio No. 2 which combines romantic tradition with sparkling Spanish flair. \n
