Regardless of the category of life you are in\, we can promise that Hattiesburg Parks & Recreation’s Adulting 101 series will help make life just a little bit easier. \nThe cost is free. but registration is required. Sign up for all of them\, or for just the ones that interest you. But\, chances are… if you fall into the 18-35 category\, you need all of them. See the full schedule below: \nTuesday\, January 8 \nWeek 1: How to Protect Yourself \nTackle the basics of self-defense\, and how to be more aware of your surroundings when alone. \nTuesday\, January 15 \nWeek 2: How to Manage Money \nMath is hard sometimes. This class will go over the basics of financial planning and investments\, helping you stretch your hard-earned dollars and make them work for you. \nTuesday\, January 22 \nWeek 3: How to Sew a Button \nYou’ll be in a rush to get to work or a fancy event one day\, and a button will fall off a suit jacket or you’ll get a rip in the seam of a dress. This class will teach you how to overcome these obstacles by teaching you how to sew a button\, patch a hole or quickly remedy tears on the go. \nTuesday\, January 29 \nWeek 4: How to Function When AAA is Not an Option \nMaybe you’re stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire or you yearn to save a little money by changing the oil in your car on your own. Whatever the scenario\, this class will address basic vehicle maintenance and how you can be a more responsible car owner. \nTuesday\, February \nWeek 5: How to Get a Job \nThis class will take you through building a better resume and give you tips on how to land the job you want with a stellar interview. \nTuesday\, February 12 \nWeek 6: How to Manage Stress \nStress is real\, regardless of your age and how well you adult. This last class of the series will take you through the best ways to manage ALL OF THE THINGS and how you can better communicate during high-stress moments. \n
