The City of Hattiesburg has many activities and facilities for enjoyment its citizens and visitors. Whether you are into softball or tennis, bridge or ballroom dancing, the City of Hattiesburg Parks & Recreation Department has a wide range of programs for all ages. McNair Recreation Center Activities

  • Ceramics Class & Sculpturing Class - Monday & Tuesday, 6:30pm - 8:30pm in the Ceramic Room, weekly
  • SMAA - Tuesday, 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the Ceramic Room, weekly
  • Hub City Diamonds - Thrusday, 5:30pm - 7:30pm in the Ceramic Room
  • Painters Club - Thrusday, 11:00am - 3:30pm in the Ceramic Room, weekly
  • PALS - Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm in the Gym & Auditorium, weekly
  • Aerobics - Monday & Tuesday, 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the Auditorium, weekly
  • Ballroom Dancing - Monday, 7:30pm - 9:00pm in the Auditorium, weekly

Sigler Senior Center Activities

  • Chair Aerobics Class - Every Tuesday at 10am
  • Basic Computer Classes - Every 2nd Thursday @ 10am
  • Jewelry Making Class - Every Third Thursday @ 10am
  • AARP - 4th Tuesday of the month, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
  • Blind Support Group - Last Thursday of every other month, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
  • MS Retired Education Personnel - 2nd Wednesday of the month(Sept.-May) 9:00am - 11:30
  • Deep South Network/Cancer Society - 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Bridge Club - Daily except Wednesday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Ballroom Dancing- Tuesday, 7:30pm - 9:00pm
  • Foster Grandparents - Last Friday of the month, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Keep Hattiesburg Beautiful

KHB Mission Statement: Engaging individuals of Hattiesburg to take greater responsibility for improving their community environment.


Keep Hattiesburg Beautiful is a 17 member commission made up of 10 Ward representatives and 7 Business representatives, who promote litter prevention, recycling and the beautification of community. By focusing on education, community outreach and partnerships between the public and private sectors, Keep Hattiesburg Beautiful volunteers work to establish and sustain programs and activities that make Hattiesburg a cleaner and more livable environment. KHB Commission meets at Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center the 4th Wednesday of the month at noon. For more information about Keep Hattiesburg Beautiful, call 601-545-4667.
