Position:                     Facility Maintenance Repairer

Division:                     Cemetery

Rate of Pay:               $15.00/hr

Nature of Work:

Performs work in the operation and maintenance of City cemeteries and other recreation department/city properties, such as mowing, weed-eating, landscaping and beautification of city cemeteries.

Examples of Work:

• Maintenance and care of city cemeteries, parks and recreation facilities.
• Mowing, weed eating, grounds maintenance.
• Operate variety of mowers and landscape equipment.
• Daily tasks of cemetery maintenance, litter pick-up, beautification projects.
• Helps with opening/closing of graves and servicing graves after funerals.
• Maintain safe work environment for crew and public
• Perform work in safe, responsible manner. Follow all city and equipment safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ability to work with co-workers and the general public.

Desirable Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent plus some related work experience, or any combination of education, experience and training which reflect job qualifications.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.
