1. Adopt Resolution for final approval of the Motor Vehicle Assessment Schedule for the Fiscal year 2008-2009, and authorize publication of same.
2. Take from the Table and APPROVE or DENY to adopt the Ordinance for the petition filed by Waits Engineering Consultants, Inc., on behalf of Norton Development, owner, to designate a zoning classification of B-3 (Community Business) District and R-4 (High Density Residential) District for certain newly annexed undeveloped property located at Lincoln Road Extension (PPIN 04013); Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to Approve B-3 (Community Business) only on July 2, 2008.
3. APPROVE or DENY the petition filed by Renea Causey, Owner, to demolish the current structure and construct a new structure on the property located at 216 S. 21st Avenue (PPIN 024123, Ward 4); Hattiesburg Historic Conservation Commission voted to DENY on 6/11/08.
4. Take from the Table and APPROVE or DENY the petition filed by Franklin Construction Company, Inc. (David White), owner, represented by Clearpoint Consulting Engineers (Scott McMurrian), for certain undeveloped property located on Quint Lane (Lake Forgetful) (newly annexed parcel #605 1001350 001200/PPIN 009854 and portion of parcel #605 1001350 001300/PPIN 17182, Ward 3); to vary from Article 5, Section 89.04 (29) which states that multi-family dwellings require two (2) parking space for each dwelling unit for a total of five hundred twelve (512) parking spaces, and instead allow a total of four hundred ninety-three (493) parking spaces, for a variance of nineteen (19) parking spaces; Hattiesburg Board of Adjustments recommended to APPROVE on July 16, 2008.
5. Take from the table and APPROVE or DENY to adopt the Ordinance for the petition filed by Bridge Ridge, LLC, represented by Leland Hennington, P.E., on behalf of Indian Ridge, LLC, owner, to allow a Planned Residential Development (PRD) in a R-1A (Single-Family Residential-10,000 sq ft.) District, for certain newly annexed undeveloped property located on Ira Hudson Road (PPIN 039197, Ward 5); Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to DENY on May 13, 2008.
6. Take from the table and APPROVE or DENY the petition filed by Bridge Ridge, LLC, represented by Leland Hennington, P.E., on behalf of Indian Ridge, LLC, owner, to allow a subdivision in a R-1A (Single-Family Residential-10,000 sq ft.) District, for certain newly annexed undeveloped property located on Ira Hudson Road (PPIN 039197, Ward 5); Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to DENY on 5/13/08.
7. APPROVE or DENY plat to subdivide lots filed by Thomas E. Cranford, represented by Nicholas M. Connolly P. E., P.L.S., on behalf of Lincoln Square Partners, L.P., for certain lots located at 2800 Lincoln Rd (parcel #s 15-1034-18 & 18A/PPIN 27097 & 36144); Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to APPROVE on August 6, 2008.
8. APPROVE or DENY to adopt the Ordinance for the petition filed by Caliente Grill, LLC, represented by Charles Arinder, on behalf of Hub City Masonic Lodge; Mr. W. B. McCarty, owner, to change the zoning classification of certain property located at 3319 Hardy St. (Parcel # 12-748-23-6; PPIN 32346) from B-2 (Neighborhood Business) District, to B-3 (Community Business) District; Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to APPROVE on August 6, 2008.
9. APPROVE or DENY the petition filed by Joe H. Wiley and Jocelyn B. Wiley, owners, to allow a Use Permit Upon Review for a restaurant in a B-2 (Neighborhood Business) District, for certain property located at 1411 Edwards St. (parcel 40-88-28-8; PPIN 013743); Hattiesburg Planning Commission recommended to APPROVE on August 6, 2008.
10. Adopt Resolution determining the following properties are in such a state of uncleanliness so as to be a menace to the health and safety of the community and providing a specified period of time to remove violations per the recommendations of the Code Enforcement Manager.
11. Acknowledge letter from JHM of Hattiesburg, LLC, requesting that the property located at 6555 US Hwy 98 West, known as Newpointe Shopping Center be annexed by the City, and adopt an Ordinance enlarging, extending and defining the corporate limits and boundaries of the City of Hattiesburg, to include said property situated in Lamar County, Mississippi.
12. Adopt Resolution Authorizing Requisition Number 32 from the Project Fund Construction Account in connection with that certain Loan Agreement dated as of June 28, 2006 by and between the Mississippi Development Bank and the City of Hattiesburg.
13. Adopt a Resolution approving an amendment to Section IX [C][2] and Section IX [F][2]of the Housing Rehabilitation and Housing Repair Grants Program Manual Guidelines to revise the approval signatures for Change Orders to include the following: Housing Programs Inspector, Housing Coordinator, Department Accountant; Director of Urban Development or designee and Mayor replacing Section IX [C][2] and Section IX [F][2] of the Housing Rehabilitation and Housing Repair Grants Program Manual Guidelines adopted August 17, 2004 at MB2004-4/p347-348. {Entitlement}
14. Approve and authorize Mayor to execute in triplicate a Housing Rehabilitation Grant Award to Della Watson of 104 Georgia Avenue in an amount not to exceed $50,000 [excluding 10% allowance for change order/discovery repairs according to the Housing Rehabilitation and Housing Programs Manual Section VIII (E)] in connection with the Subrecipient Agreement partnering the City of Hattiesburg Department of Urban Development - Community Development Division and Breakthrough Community Services, Inc. to provide repairs to eligible homeowner occupied units within the Corporate City Limits. 15. Approve and authorize Mayor to execute in triplicate a Housing Rehabilitation Grant Award to Robert Smith of 111 Townsend Street in an amount not to exceed $50,000 [excluding 10% allowance for change order/discovery repairs according to the Housing Rehabilitation and Housing Programs Manual Section VIII (E)] in connection with the Subrecipient Agreement partnering the City of Hattiesburg Department of Urban Development - Community Development Division and Breakthrough Community Services, Inc. to provide repairs to eligible homeowner occupied units within the Corporate City Limits. 16. Approve and authorize Mayor to execute in triplicate a Housing Rehabilitation Grant Award to Karen Cooley of 419 Scooba Street in an amount not to exceed $50,000 [excluding 10% allowance for change order/discovery repairs according to the Housing Rehabilitation and Housing Programs Manual Section VIII (E)] in connection with the Subrecipient Agreement partnering the City of Hattiesburg Department of Urban Development - Community Development Division and Pinebelt Community Services, Inc. to provide repairs to eligible homeowner occupied units within the Corporate City Limits. 17.
