Hattiesburg is the third largest city in Mississippi with nearly 50,000 residents. The City of Hattiesburg was incorporated in 1884 and presently operates under a Mayor/Council form of government.
Johnny L. DuPree, Ph.D., was elected Mayor in 2001, drawing upon his years of experience as a School Board President and a Forrest County Supervisor. Councilman Kim Bradley currently serves as the president of City Council and career of public service includes the distinction of having served on the Council since Councilman Kim Bradley’s career of public service includes the distinction of serving as the Council President.
