View Redistricting Proposals: Final Vote on July 3 at 11 a.m.

City Council to Select Redistricting Plan on July 3

Hattiesburg-A final public hearing to discuss the proposed redistricting plans for the City of Hattiesburg will be held on Thursday, June 28 at the C.E. Roy Community Center at 6 p.m.

City Council will vote on one of the four plans on Tuesday, July 3 at 11 a.m., at City Hall. The approved plan will then be submitted to the Justice Department who will review them. The opinions voiced by residents during the public forums will also be taken into consideration. City Council expects to hear a response from the Justice Department within 90 days of the submission. The proposed plans are listed below:
