For Immediate Release:

Summer "Day" Camps Begin Monday

Hattiesburg-Starting Monday on June 11 through July 10, the City of Hattiesburg will host summer day camps from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for kids ages 5-11. Locations include:

*C.E. Roy Community Center

*Lillie Burney

*Thames Elementary School (Co- sponsored by Forrest County Dist. 5 Supervisor Chris Bowen)

*Grace Christian Elementary School (Co-sponsored by Forrest Co. Dist. 2 Supervisor Charles Marshall)

*Woodley Elementary School (Co-sponsored by Forrest Co. Dist. 1 Supervisor David Hogan)

*Danny Hinton Community Center in Palmers Crossing (Co-sponsored by Forrest Co. Dist. 4 Supervisor Rod Woullard)                

The children will be separated into three groups: ages 5 and 6; ages 7 and 8; ages 9-11. There will be a limit of 75 kids per location. Registrations are on a first come, first serve basis.  Complete payment must accompany the registration form. The fee is $20 per child which allows him/her to participate in games, the First Tee Golf Program and other sports, arts and crafts, and swimming.
