City of Hattiesburg Curfew Ordinance

Hattiesburg-The Hattiesburg Police Department (HPD) is urging residents to remain aware of the Curfew Ordinance. It states that any person under the age of 18 must be under the supervision of an adult by 11 p.m. until 6 a.m., on Sunday-Thursday, and by midnight to 6 a.m., on Friday and Saturday.

Any juvenile who is in violation of the city’s curfew policy will face charges. Also, the junvenile's parent or legal guardian will have to pay a maximum fine of $633.50 which must be paid in full. In some instances, a youth who violates the ordinance could also face incarceration. For more information, please contact HPD's Juvenile Services Division at 601.554.3742.
