Right Way to Throw Away Event Set for Oct. 27 

Hattiesburg-Have old washers and dryers you've been dying to get rid of or household hazardous waste you're wanting to throw away? Soon you will get your chance to dump these items legally. On Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the City of Hattiesburg will sponsor its annual Right Way to Throw Away Day event.

The collection sites are Bobby L. Chain Airport and the Lamar County Multi-Purpose Center. Other sponsors of the event include the Pine Belt Regional Solid Waste Authority, Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, Forrest and Lamar County, USM and the City of Petal. For an indepth look at other items that can be dropped off, click here.
